Othello is for the most part a pretty well-rounded guy. He tends to give off a rather relaxed and friendly vibe in most situations and likes to make allies wherever he can. Even in heated situations he can usually keep his head clear and try to address things from a logical standpoint. He is also very driven to do right by the people around him and provide for the greater good. This means both seeing to his objectives and looking after his people however the situation calls for. None of this is to say, however, that you can't get on his bad side. His patience can be worn thin and he will have zero problem responding with words, hands, or both.

History/Background:

From a young age it was Othello's primary goal to someday join the Corps and defend his only home. He looked up to the Astrum of the city and made the decision that if he would be one, he would be among the best. Knowing it would be no easy ride, he began training his body and mind far in advance. From intensive workout regimens and weapon training assisted by his parents, to quiet hours of study and reflection. By the age of 13 he could lift as much as an average man in his prime, his knowledge and the sharpness of his tongue growing just as keen.

His Awakening as an Astrum occurred one day during a particularly grueling set of endurance exercises. It was the last challenge of the day, to chain as many blows upon his training dummy as possible without letting up. Nearly out of breath and his muscles on fire, he refused to give in, pounding the thing in an undying combo, his future and his goals rushing through his mind and spurring him on beyond his limits. It was then, in an instant, that his weapons formed in his grasp for the first time. He continued to strike the dummy with the blunt ends of his tonfa, not even allowing this experience to break his chain, before swinging its blades and halving it in a grand and final blow. He then immediately collapsed to the ground in a fit of exhaustion, completely worn out but content that the first step of his path had finally been taken. He would later then volunteer himself for the Defense Corps, eager to begin his new life.

Othello's faith in the Corps was shaken the day its corruption was revealed. The organization he'd spent his entire life dreaming to be a part of was rotten all along, violating everything he stood for. This, coupled with the circumstances of the death of his squadmate, Stahl Biermann, left him with little strength or motivation. Uncertainty, anger, and confusion filling the space. During the commotion that led to the mass defection he was propositioned by Sophia Hawkridge to come with her and leave the DC behind. Unsure of what else to do, he placed his trust in her and joined Ophiuchus Gate. Only time will tell if the choice he made was for the best.
